Here at the pet shop where I work, they are constantly shipping in dog products. As if they sell almost immediately after receiving a shipment! Especially leashes and dog collars, those are the top dog products I find myself stocking up on the shelf on a daily basis. I never knew there could be that many different types of dog collars like: jeweled, nylon, leather and even training collars! I was amazed, and I don’t even own a dog. All these pretty collars made me want to get a puppy though; a cute little puppy that I could dress up in the cutest sparkly dog collar, a purple one maybe. Just the thought of owning a puppy would make me smile, so I knew it would be a great idea! It’s funny how a bunch of dog collars would bring me to the conclusion of actually purchasing one, but that was exactly what I did.

Once I got home from work, I went online to look for the closest dog shelters around my town and I found one nearby actually. I then decided that would be the place where I would choose my future puppy! I wanted to be prepared for when the puppy would come home with me, so I went online and purchased some of the basic dog products any puppy would need. I ordered a tiny dog bed, since I already knew I wanted a baby pup. I also ordered some bowls and feeders, a dog collar with its matching leash and an I.D tag to put all of its information in case anything ever happened. I wanted to be fully prepared, although I didn’t have the slightest clue of what it would be like, but I did the best that I could. I figured that if I was missing anything I would just order it, or go to the nearest pet store to get the dog products I had forgotten. As soon as my order arrived, I was so anxious to open it all up and set it up at home so that I could be on my way to pick up the new member of my family.

I was done setting everything up and off I went on my way to the shelter! As soon as I arrived they went to show me the variety of puppies there was to choose from, I saw so many cute puppies that I wanted to take more than just one! I knew I couldn’t do that though, I had to start with just one dog, so I could know whether I would be able to handle another one or not. I chose a boy puppy, he was a light brown Silky Terrier, and a baby at that, and he is just so cute! I fell in love with him almost instantly and named him Romeo. And just to think that this all started while stocking dog products up on a shelf!
